Will this program
make me successful in the residential cleaning business?
If 1000 students attend the same law school or medical college, will they
all achieve the same degree of success? We all know the
answer to this question. First of all, not all of them will even
graduate. And of those who do, they will all achieve varying degrees
of success in their practices. Just because they all received
equal training doesn't guarantee equal success. The same holds true for this
course. The success which our clients achieve depends on how well they
in fact implement what they learn. "Knowing" what and how to do
something is one thing; actually "doing" it is another. However,
based on the feedback from and the success of so many of our clients, we are
proud to say that our program has certainly been instrumental in helping a
lot of people build and successfully manage high six and seven figure house
cleaning businesses.

There
seems to be a lot of "stuff" on the internet about starting and/or
operating a house cleaning business. How is your program different?
You're right! There is a lot of "stuff" out there. When we began
offering House Cleaning Biz 101 online in February 2003, there
were a handful of folks offering to teach people how to start a
cleaning business; today they seem to be coming out of the woodwork!
Success fuels would-be competition and, after all, that's the great American
way. There are outfits hawking "how to" e-books for $30 to $300 and
some offering 15-minute video training programs for $150 (in at least one
instance, offering a package of ten 15-minute videos for $1,500).
Others offer one-week training courses for up to $5,000. And, of
course, there are several franchise programs offered for an initial
franchise fee ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. We have clients who
investigated purchasing a franchise and bought our material instead; some of
our customers own a franchise and still purchased House Cleaning Biz 101.
I think our clients answer this question best and if you read the
testimonials on our Web site you'll find the answer you're looking for from
the people who know.

Why do I need ANY
third-party guidance in running a house cleaning business? Why can't I
just learn on my own like so many others have?
You certainly can learn on your own -- IF you're willing to
pay the high cost of trial and error and IF you're willing to
invest the years it took to learn what the House Cleaning Biz 101
program shares with you. Interestingly enough, you might be surprised
at how many people who already own successful and substantial
residential cleaning companies buy this program. In fact, probably
most of the major successful independent home cleaning companies have
this program in their library. Our program contains a lot of material
which, to the best of our knowledge, isn't to be had
anywhere else on the planet! Learning how to clean professionally is
important, but there are many, many acceptable
sources for learning this part of the business. However, the
technical cleaning end of the business plays only about a 10% part in
building a successful enterprise in this industry. There are
thousands of excellent house cleaners out there who have been cleaning
homes professionally for years, but who do not have profitable or successful
businesses. The proven business practices shared in this
program, which I invested over four decades and tens of
thousands of dollars to learn and perfect, can potentially save you
from investing similar time and expense learning these
essentials on your own. There are many concepts shared in this
program, any one of which could recoup 10, 20, 50 or even 100 times your
investment in House Cleaning Biz 101.

Yes, but
haven't you heard? There's a recession going on. Is this a good time to
invest in expanding (or starting) a business?
That's an excellent question. It's true that unemployment is at its
highest level in over a quarter of a century in the United States.
According to reports, there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel.
Of course, this does not help people who have lost their jobs and, in
many cases, their homes. The fact is, however, that more than 8 out of
10 households continue to receive a paycheck and a healthy 15+ million of
them earn between $100,000 to $250,000 annually. In surveys and
discussions with cleaning business owners throughout 2009 -- both in the
U.S. and other countries, there is clear evidence that this industry
seems to be more recession-resistant than most other types of
businesses. Clients of the House Cleaning Biz 101 program have
continued to report a steady -- and in many cases, a
significant growth
in their business while other types of businesses are experiencing declining
revenues.

How long will it
take me to complete the course?
The "run time"
shown for each session is based on the time it takes to play the narration.
It generally does not include the time you may spend viewing and printing
various documents and/or visiting Web resource links related to the topics.
So, while the run time to watch and listen to the entire program is around 12 hours,
you are likely to spend another three to five hours or more with these other
program-related activities. You'll also want to review many of the
sessions more than once. There's a lot to absorb and you're likely
going to want to invest one to two hours every day over two or three weeks.

substantial saving if you purchase the entire course at one time.

I am
already in the cleaning business. What benefit will the Getting Started
RIGHT portion of the course be to me?
If you’re like
most small business owners, you may not have a formal written business plan
but it’s never too late to create one. If you want to borrow money to
expand your business, having a formal well-written business plan can
certainly help in that regard. However, there is an even more important
reason to develop and implement a good business plan and we explain why and
how to do it — a concise 20 page sample business plan is included for your use as a
guide in creating your own. You may also wish to reexamine your current
form of business entity and, based on our overview of your options, you may
want to alter the format under which your business is being operated
(particularly relative to protecting your personal assets). In fact, the
sample CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT to have your employees sign that’s included
on this CD would cost $300 to $500 to have an attorney draft — an important
instrument to help protect your clients and your client list. And
that's not all.

I only plan to have a small cleaning staff. Do I
really need The 3Rs of Employee Development course?
Even an individual who only
had ONE employee would find this part of the program to be the most valuable
part of the entire course. If you're already in the business and have
experienced the frustrations of recruiting, managing and retaining good
employees, you've probably already said to yourself, "There's got to be a
better way." This 17-session CD will teach you how to become a
professional human resource manager and give you the knowledge you need to
recruit the best candidates for the job — and, most importantly, how to
drastically improve your workforce retention.

Can I
print copies of the sample forms, advertising, handbooks, confidentiality
agreement and other PDF documents?
Yes, that’s
exactly why we’ve included them. You can use the materials as is, or use
them as a model to create your own. These materials include: sample help
wanted ads and recruiting brochure; an employee handbook; safety program
handbook; supplementary 60-page training handbook; sample sales brochures
and flyers; newspaper and Yellow Page ads; several dozen forms; and a host
of other printable materials. A list of all of these materials can be
found at the end of each Session Outline in the Course Outline. You
may also purchase most of these documents in MS Word format so
that you can customize them, either individually or as a
collection. You may purchase them individually by download from this
Web site, or as a collection on CD 5 at a substantial saving of about
75%.

Are
there any additional fees or costs once I purchase the program?
No, none at
all. At least not to us. Obviously, you will have expenses connected with
starting and/or operating your business. But this is not a franchise or
business opportunity offering. You have no further obligations to us other
than paying the tuition cost of the course itself. However,
personal one-on-one
coaching is available on a subscription basis for those wishing to do
so.

How much
will it cost me to start my own house cleaning business?
The answer to
this question depends on several factors: Whether you will be operating
from your home or a commercial office; whether or not you intend to provide
company vehicles to your employees; how aggressively you plan to grow your
business; and a variety of other factors. If you plan to operate a “real”
business you will be incurring real expenses, too. Your major initial start
up expenses will be for cleaning equipment, supplies and materials;
general liability and workers’ compensation insurance; advertising to
attract clients and employees; and, wages for your employees. It is likely
to require an investment in the range of $10,000 to $20,000 – many people
start for less, but growth is slow and painful if your business is under
capitalized. There are not too many businesses that can be launched
with an investment of less than $50,000 — particularly one with the
potential of a well-run house cleaning business.

I live in a country outside of the U.S.A. Will the program be of benefit to
me?
Absolutely!
While cultures, local customs, traditions and laws pertaining to forming a business entity, licensing,
employment and other legal issues in other countries -- and even within
countries themselves, the business principles for developing and
operating a successful house cleaning business are valid worldwide wherever
people are willing and able to pay others to clean their homes. We have
experience in helping people start and build successful businesses in
55 countries around the world (see
"About Us"). The professional cleaning methods, marketing
strategies, human resource practices, fiscal principles and management
skills taught throughout this course have universal merit.

Do you offer any cleaning
equipment or supplies?
No we do not.
However, while you can purchase vacuum cleaners, cleaning products and other
materials from various vendors,
The Clean Team in
Jackson, California is an excellent one-stop source. This company has
been in business since 1979. Not only do they offer just about
everything you’ll need, they extend a 10% discount to professional house
cleaners and they ship all over the world.

How can I confirm
that you are a "real" company?
Believe it or
not, we're not offended by this question. You have a right to ask it
and to know that you're dealing with an established company. Simply go
to the Florida State Division of Corporations
and under "Public Inquiry" type in the document number "S64299" (you can
copy and paste the 6-digit document number shown here, without quotation
marks). This will confirm our corporate registration effective July 1,
1991 and other details about the company. You can also confirm our
membership in the Better Business Bureau's Online Reliability Program by
clicking on the BBB logo.
